"Check in was quick, efficient and friendly. Front desk stuff was personable and it was great to end a long day with a friendly face. The room is large with a couch and padded window bench. "

"Rooms are a little outdated for what you pay. Breakfast is as expected, however, dishes get piled and left too long and items (cream, jam) don’t get replenished quick enough or they advise that they have run out (which is not acceptable in my opinion). Otherwise, great place to stay! Staff is friendly and complimentary firewood is a bonus 👌 Overall, 4 stars"

"We stayed at Windermere House in October. The property and surroundings are beautiful, with obvious attention to guest comfort and convenience. We were treated wonderfully by all staff we encountered. Had we stayed longer than two nights, we would have used more of the many recreational and comfort facilities available. As it was, we enjoyed great meals at the restaurant (best apple cheesecake I've ever had) and pub, a lovely paddle on the water, swims in the pool, sauna, and my wife had a...
