"Clean room, very nice staff "

"The room was clean and tidy with tv and tea making facility. Shower was a good standard with decent hot water supply. Staff were extremely helpful and approachable and good size bar and restaurant. The hotel itself is a bit dated but you could see that renovations are taking place to update it. There are a number of attractions nearby notwithstanding the airport and I would very much recommend it for its facilities, location and price."

"We recently stayed at The Beacon Hotel, Cardiff. As a 3-star hotel, it’s fairly basic and not the most modern or spotless, but it was adequate for a short stay. The location is convenient for getting around Cardiff, and the room had the essentials we needed. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a decent selection to start the day. "It is an older property with its own charm. Location is close to shipping, restaurants, buys stops, train station, so very convenient. We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the top floor, end of the hall, so it was very quiet. Steps are narrow and steep, no elevator. Lots of exercise! Hotel staff was fabulous. St Fagans national museum of history and Caerphilly Castle are both worth visiting!"

"It's on a spectacular road of large Victorian houses & the room I stayed in was in keeping: it was large & high ceilinged. It & its shower room were very very clean. The welcome was helpful & friendly. I hope to stay again in the near future."
