The room we stayed at was great and it didn’t smell and it was so great that we stayed an extra day."

"Fine budget hotel-great location, central and easy to get to places of interest and the airport. Spacious room (we had a renovated double) and well- maintained courtyard and pool. Excellent restaurants across the street. Staff friendly and helpful."

"The hotel is in a beautiful location. Our room was private and had a nice view. It was spacious enough for a family of five. It was close to pools and onsite restaurants. And, there was room for kids to run around and explore."

"Great location midway, to basically everything in san Diego. Easy access to bike trails ( which we used a lot ). Great customer service and nice lobby with drink and snack options. Saves a trip to a convenience store. "

"I came to San Diego specifically to stay at the Lafayette. My dad worked at this hotel when it first opened in 1946, and visiting there has been a goal of mine for many years. I was very impressed. It was beautiful and I love the art deco theme throughout. The staff was awesome and made me feel so at home. I felt so close to my dad. It was a very emotional trip. Thank you to all for making my stay so special."
