"We often stay here and usually sleep well although this time we were in room 125 and there was a constant sound similar to air conditioning (ours wasn’t on) though the night."

"The breakfast plates were dirty. Saw this on another review also, so think they should look into it. The location is between the city center and the Bay. Can walk to either. It is a revitalizing area. They are building a stadium nearby, but there are also industrial areas nearby. Overall, good location. The parking is not guaranteed, and if you go out with your car at night, might not be a place to park when return. Breakfast has variety. Welsh breakfast, not special, but can do worse. Overall, the value is good. It is a nice, newer building in a good location with parking that is price economically. "

"2nd stay at the Parkgate. Fantastic hotel in the centre of Cardiff. The only downside is the parking situation. Much easier to get the train in and walk over to the hotel."

"Had difficulty in finding the hotel but locals helped. We were pleased to find a parking space below the hotel. Your female receptionist was extremely helpful and professional. We arrived around 11.15 am Monday 30th April 2026. We were very happy with the room. Spacious, clean, modern a large very comfortable bed and bathroom with a bath. We didn’t eat at the hotel purely because it was a birthday celebration so chose to eat in one of the Cardiff city restaurants. We did have a drink in the restaurant when we are back. Thank you. We enjoyed our visit to Cardiff and enjoyed our stay at the hotel. "

"Very comfortable bed & clean room. Did ask the receptionist if it’s possible to have continental breakfast earlier than specific time, which wasn’t a problem. Friendly staff. Would definitely come here again. "
