"We weren't expecting much but actually the staff were lovely, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was much better than most hotels we've stayed in, eg. Premier Inn, Hampton etc.
Would definitely stay again."

"This holiday home is the most perfect myself and partner have booked. The decor is absolutely amazing and a lot of thought had been put into it by the owners. It is impossible to pick any faults. The home was clean and high standard and quality of equipment and furnishings. Studying the ‘quirky’ decor was an enjoyable time spent. Simon and Lynne were so friendly without being intrusive. "Two adults and 2 children stayed in no2 cottage. A compact one bedroom cottage with a large comfortable bed and sofa bed in sitting room. Kitchen has all you need for short stay. Vehicles kept in gated area, so very secure. Stu and his wife are friendly, their breakfast was excellent quality for price (additional charge). This must be the cheapest pub in the UK.(£3 pint) Overall we had a very pleasant 3 nights. Thank you. "

A couple of small things: 1- It would have been nice to know there was a flight of narrow stairs to get to room, 2- Bathroom sink is blocked by overhanging cabinets, toothbrushing very difficult, 3- bathroom door drifts open against the bed unless closed and then the bathroom is very hot. "Located in a very beautiful location within walking distance of several points of interest, such as The Shambles, York Minster, the City Walls, bars, and restaurants. The breakfast served in the morning is truly exquisite. The room and the hotel in general seemed very clean, in excellent condition despite being an old building, and safe. The attention and friendliness of the front desk and breakfast staff were exceptional!"
