"I loved the Turf hotel. We were late arriving but the young lady stayed on site until we arrived. That alone is worthy of a good review. The room was fine, a little run down but certainly not a problem. The bedding was fantastic, plenty of pillows and a lovely warm duvet. We were only there briefly, we left straight after breakfast (which was really nice). Everybody we spoke to was super happy & helpful. I think we'll be back in the area soon and the Turf will be my first phone call for...

"This property was really beautiful and the staff were so kind! Unfortunately as it's an older building, there is no lift to the rooms so it probably won't be accessible to people with mobility challenges. "

"Very friendly establishment. Great service and good dinner menu and breakfast. The cottage could of done with a deep clean as there was loads of spiders and cobwebs. Would definitely stay there again but maybe in the pub next time "

"Lovely stay with plenty of room for our family of 6. Plentiful kitchen supplies. Fantastic walks on the doorstep. Hot tub was fun with the kids - top tip, pay a little extra to have it pre heated for your arrival so you can enjoy it that day. "

"Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. "Excellent budget stay. I was the only person in an 8-bed dorm, and was one of only two people using the communal facilities on the night of my visit. Excellent hostel facilities and good systems in place."

"Lovely accommodating owners of the guest house. Nice room and bathroom. Area to sit downstairs and watch the TV, which was lovely. Surrounded by nice walks and a local pub. Breakfast was also nice. I cannot fault the place."

"We had an amazing weekend at a fantastic location! We stayed in Owl Lodge, which was lovely, spotless and featured many beautiful details in the decoration. Our stay was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. Sean was a wonderfully welcoming host. Highly recommend spending a couple of hours in the BBQ hut as well. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this place more!"

"Our stay that the leveret was so peaceful and out of the way but not too far from shops and pubs. The cabin was so cosy and private. We ordered more logs from the owners and the response was quick and sonwere the logs. Everything was excellent, wish we stayed a little longer as went far too quick. Had lots of people asking where we staying as looked great on the videos we posted of the place. "

"A fantastic warm welcome. Beautiful room with everything we needed. The care put into the room was evident in all the personal details that ensured a comfortable stay. Bed soft and linen gorgeous. Horsey paintings added to the ambience as racehorses trotted by the window! Soothing and relaxing! Breakfast was the best ever in a b n b. Hostess Sharon made us feel like friends. Our dog loved it too!"

"Yes, we found a very clean room once we'd managed to open the front door. The key turned freely without engaging the unlocking mechanism for several minutes. I had started to call the number given for assistance but whilst waiting from fourth in the queue, we managed to get in to operate as expected and gain entry.
