"Most staff were very nice one pretty girl would not smile for the life of her. Our balcony doors would not lock which seemed to be a little bit of a safety issue. There was no fan in our room. It was very hot. We had to call and request one. Only one night table in that room the set up of the room seems to be very small compared to our friends room. That was there. Parts of the building definitely seemed like they are falling apart."

"Super nice hotel in downtown Monterey Bay! Loved that it was walking distance to a lot of things. Parking was either valet or self park. We did self park which is in a structure for the hotel. Next block over so easy to get to. Amenities were ok. We wished there was a refrigerator in the room. Staff were super nice and friendly. We would definitely stay there again. "

"We had another wonderful stay at Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa—this was our second visit, and it continues to deliver. We originally chose it because it’s so dog-friendly, with great grassy areas that make traveling with our pups easy and enjoyable. "Very friendly staff all around! Great breakfast included with a fantastic view. Each room is unique so don't count on an ocean view. No A/C or ceiling fans in room; can get warm during the day. Walking distance to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. On a hill so steps are involved / maybe not good for people with mobility issues. Overall great little Inn!"

"The AC didn’t work properly, and there was no tea maker in the room. The staff did not walk us to the room, which was unexpected. The bathroom was not clean, and there was no hot water In the restaurant, However, when we asked the reception about the hot water, they fixed it quickly. We missed the first night of our reservation, and although I was hoping for some adjustment, they said no changes could be made, which I understand. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel and would not stay here...

"This is a brand new property, everything is clean and the design is lovely. Our only observations are that our room still smelled like new construction/paint. Obviously that's temporary. Our "premium" room was also directly on a street that had street parking and as a result was very noisy with cars coming and going. Others will have a different experience staying elsewhere in the hotel."

"I love the cozy charming feel of this Historic Landmark Hotel. Staff was friendly and kind. I felt comfortable and secure as a Solo Traveler. Parking is limited on the site, but the neighborhood streets around the hotel off her parking. You can unload in front of the hotel, and then go find a place to park. The breakfast of a yogurt parfait made to order and various pastries was very good. It is close to shopping and dining, and a walk to the beach is just several blocks away. "
