"Tradewinds was a great find for a girls getaway with great walkability to shops, restaurants and Carmel Beach. It was charming with great oriental furnishings and garden…..zen like. "What a lovely hidden gem! we were able to walk to the village. Room was so nice, beds comfortable and quier. The sitting patio are had a beautiful fireplace, a fire pit and amazing sitting! Staff was awesome! Breakfast was great, simple but delicious. Love the sangria and cookies on Thursday and wine and cheese on Friday as special treats!"

"It was a wonderful stay. One of the best we’ve had in Carmel since our first stay in 2013. The room was excellent (we got upgraded to what was effectively a suite) with an amazing view of the ocean. We simply brought dinner back to the room just enjoy the view and the room. It was exactly the relaxing weekend we needed and wanted. I am so glad we stayed at Hofsas. Carrie at the front desk was exceptionally welcoming as well. Helpful staff all around too"

![SC, Danny, May and I set off bright and early from Folsom on our PCH roadtrip. First stop was this Carmel Mission in the idyllic seaside town of Carmel-by-the-Sea. I think I fell in love with the quaint cottages and shops dotted the town, and the fact that this is a dog-friendly town. Most of the shops had water bowls laid out for the dogs, and you bet I made lotsa four-legged furry friends! I'd love to come back here someday with my own dog!
