"Hotel is in a lovely area and looks beautiful inside and out. The staff I met were nice, however was disappointed after having a long day to arrive and told they were not serving any food (was around 7pm). Our room was nice and mostly clean (empty bottles were left on the floor when we arrived) and the TV would only work on BBC1 and ITV and we couldn't use the remote as this didnt work either 🙈"

The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! "The location is unbeatable for the historic dockyard (30 mtr) and gunwharf quay and rail station. Good breakfast nicely cooked and tasty. The rooms are to a modern decor with fans for the heat, as there is no air con. We had room 25 which is small, but adequate. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever had with a basin that is tiny. Good shower cubicle that takes most of the space. We would stay there again but not in 25."

"Breakfast was buffet with a few options but staff slow to refill when food ran out. No shower cap, vanity kit, etc in rooms. I hate using soap gel and the perfume was overpowering. Check in was a little stressful as staff were busy and not very attentive to our needs. "We pre booked and paid for dinner only to find at check in that dinner wasn’t available and we had been booked at a pub 10 minutes away by car. We didn’t want to drive again we wanted to eat and relax after a day of travel. As there wasn’t an alternative we didn’t go to the pub where the main course was fine but not what we wanted. Had we been informed that dinner wasn’t available we would have booked elsewhere."

"For the price, not worth it. The hotel itself was fine. There were some annoying things that stood out though. For example, if you need to use a hair dryer, they provide one but there's no plug in the bathroom. And when you use it outside of the bathroom, there is no mirror with a plug nearby. "The room was super small, but the bathroom was decent size with a great shower. We had to store our luggage downstairs at the desk as only our carry ons could fit comfortably on the room. The breakfast that came with the room was the best we have ever encountered. We could order off the menu which had a good selection w/ great coffee and fabulous service!"
