"The property has an imposing stance and even before entering, suggests a degree of elegance and style. The start was not good, however, as upon entering the room, I found that it had not been serviced. I cannot remember if I received an apology - suggesting that maybe I didn't - but the hotel deducted the price of two bottles of wine from a dinner for 8 as a paliative. "Very good basic room to lay your head for a night for the price. Spotlessly clean. Pastry and coffee included the next morning, parking was tricky and we had to park on the road outside. My only concern that there was a lot of noise during the night. Staff were very nice. Would say again."

"Pros: parking and good central location. Well priced. Cons: tired and dated rooms. Too warm despite turning the thermostat right down. Helped by opening window but loud road noise so not ideal. No bottled water in the room. Got phoned by reception at 7.15 am to come to our room to access the safe and retrieve the passports of previous guests! Not the wake up call I wanted on what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. Staff member was lovely and very apologetic and offered us free breakfast....

"I paid a bit extra for the Privilege room and it was well worth it, I had a massive bed, a little table with a couple of armchairs, and a mini-fridge! The bathroom was lovely. unfortunately one of the radiators in my room was stuck on but with the windows open and the fan blowing it was a comfortable temperature. "Lovely quirky hotel. Free parking and in easy reach of public transport with only a short tram journey to the centre of Sheffield. Rooms clean and welcoming. Beds comfy and a modern clean and large on suite. Breakfast was perfect with help yourself cereal toast and a full menu of various cooked options to choose from cooked fresh with table service. Only downside breakfast room was far too hot. Would definitely return."
