"Breakfast , parking, staff, cleanliness"

"Overall an OK stay but not worth the price tag. Visited at half term, hotel appeared under prepared. All staff were helpful and polite but clearly under staffed so not necessarily their fault. Room not ready 2 hours after check-in, walkways not maintained, dirty glasses and plates with food on outside a lot of rooms. 1 bath robe in the room for 3 guests, toilet in the room didn't flush and whole bathroom in need of basic repairs. Bar/restaurant stopped taking food orders at 7:20pm in school...

"We booked this as a last minute booking and wasn't sure ehat we were expecting but wow what a place! Beautifully designed, nice and relaxing. Staff couldnt do enough and great value for the rooms, Breakfast was lovely too! Only 20 minutes away from York City Centre will definitely be staying again"

"Unique"

"Room was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a pretty good location too, only 10 minute walk to city centre. Check in and checkout was very straightforward and there’s maps available at the front desk of the city centre and surrounding areas, staff at front desk explain very well how to get to places. Would stay again on my next trip to York :)"

"Great decor in a fantastic location. Front desk is fabulous. Went above and beyond would stay there again for sure."

"The staff and grounds were amazing. Loved the garden and the character of Gray’s Court. The bed and mattress in our room are in need of an upgrade as the mattress sagged a bit and the bed frame croaked with every motion."

"Simply put, we found it an excellent, convenient and high quality hotel near the centre. We particularly liked that breakfast and internet are included. We cant be bothered with other hotels that charge extra, particularly for useful internet. We will always try this hotel first when visiting York again."

"Lovely clean room but small at the end of corridor and overlooking station. Parking extortionate however quite good location to town. Used the leisure facilities which were nice and quiet in the morning."

"Comfortable"

"Charming National Trust Queen Anne House now hotel. Excellent service, good food and magnificent garden. Rooms pretty decent and deserving of 4 stars. Very pleasant two day stay."

"Hotel is central. Bed is small for two and you hear noise for the other rooms."

"Lobby uninteresting Room dark Only one pillow for one guest Towels poor condition No fridge in room to keep water cool . Sofa seating underneath TV cupboard. Not comfortable seating area. Best for train station accessibility and entrance to York centre ."

"Staff was super helpful, and it has an all around package"

"Very rude staff and rooms that are not great for the price they charge. The parking situation is also pretty bad, ended up having to park quite far from the hotel entrance, and with lots of luggage, it was an extra hassle. I'd say spend your money elsewhere."

"The location of this hotel is fantastic, but parking is so expensive and in my opinion should be a reduced price for people staying in the hotels we ended up paying around £65 for 2 night stay parking which is to much. The hotel room was very small for a family room. And the room was super dark and outdated. Didn’t give you any amenities and the staff were not the most helpful."

"Was all fine apart from strangers blone hairs hanging off lamp in room and also lamp had never had a dust in what looked like many months. Didn't want to have a proper look around incase anything else was found!!"
