Incredibly poor communication from the property, who in the first instance did not respond for over a week to our request for an early check in. e repeatedly asked host for check in details,and we eventually got them on the day of check in only 15 minutes before scheduled (normal) check in time, at which time we were already at the weddding of my daughter, having travelled...

"I stayed at the Mitre several times during my visit to England. Not only is the location amazing, opposite Hampton Court Palace, on the River Thames, and close to Bushey Park, but the staff are fabulous. They go above and beyond. Professional, kind, thoughtful, helpful and welcoming. Special shoutout to Ashley, Sabrina, Alina and Blaze - thank you. Good to know - Air conditioning units were being installed in some of the bedrooms as I left!!"

"Edwina was a welcoming host! Nothing was too much trouble! Made sure we always had what we need! Accommodating our American car! Fabulous fresh cooked breakfast! Room was lovely which was cleaned daily. The best shower pressure! Tea coffee, water and juice in the room. Great location, walking distance to Esher town centre and the Racetrack! "The breakfast was sparse - no oatmeal, for example - but okay. It was quiet in the dining area. However, during the peak dinner hour the previous night, 8 pm, it was so loud that it was hard to hear. The ceiling is low and the acoustics bad. It felt like a cafeteria. The food was mediocre although quite expensive. Overall, the room was overpriced, really the only thing to recommend it is proximity to the terminal, which is probably why 90% of people go there. There were four giant pillows...

"Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. Free parking was a bonus. Convenient for transport to and from London with a pleasant bar and beer garden to relax in at the end of a busy day in the city. This was our second time staying at The White Hart and would happily return. Highly recommended."

"My husband and I spent 2 nights at The Swan Inn. The staff were all fantastic and the food at the restaurant was great. Having a breakfast cooked to order included in the price was a nice surprise. The accommodation was good value and the bedroom, while small, was well designed. The shower was fabulous with lovely shampoo and soaps. Our only criticism was the bed and pillows.
