"No pool due to maintenance which was a real upset. Rooms were basic, clean and no issues for the price. We had ordered connecting rooms and had to ask for the door to be opened between them. Breakfast was good only negative was the coffee machine didn’t warm the milk. We tried 3 times and it was always the same. Good for one or two nights and free parking was a bonus."

"On arrival I was greeted by the owner who kindly took my suitcase to my room on the upper floor. My room was very clean and tidy with everything I needed. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room with ample supplies. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely and hot. "A lot of noise from people walking in and out, and kids screaming early in the morning. That’s not the hotel’s fault. But some sound isolation would be nice. The room was nice enough, nothing extra there. Bathroom door didn’t close properly. Bed was okay, but not the best. "

"Absolutely stunning, quaint, 500 year old coaching inn with lots of original features. Fantastic location in the centre of the historic market town. Bar, restaurant and large out door seating area. Extremely welcoming, happy and helpful staff. "

Bathroom had not been cleaned and had hair, along with other reminders, from the previous occupants. This let down the experience as then noticed other parts of the room being fairly unclean."
