"This was an excellent stay! Anytime I’m going to New York, I will be staying here. The place is so clean, very secure (three locks on the door). The staff was consistently helpful. And the $10 coupon that they gave you for breakfast is quite substantive because the café has delicious food that will fit the budget. I had quiches that were $10, or sandwiches that were $10. Haven’t seen that kind of price in the upper west side in New York. I really enjoyed my stay."

"Staff was all amazing and extremely kind. The property needs some love though. Leaky bathroom in a few ways (sink and toilet). One day all the main elevators to our floor were out all day…walked down 28 flights of stairs to get out and then to get back up we were able to take the service elevators which somehow didn’t go to floor 28 (at least only one flight of stairs to get to our room this time lol). Rooms are outdated and worn. Location is excellent though. All around decent stay but cost...

"The hotel is in a great, convenient location and the room was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The staff were generally helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, there were a couple of issues that detracted from the overall experience. The heating system in the room was quite loud and frequently disrupted our sleep during the night. "Basic hotel in an incredible location. Don’t expect a coffee machine or fridge in the room. But there is free coffee and tea downstairs in the dining area where free pastries are served every morning for breakfast. We have stayed here a number of times over the years. The place doesn’t change much, but you give all that up for being smack bang in the middle of the Village."

"There were several problems with my room (unfunctioning lamps, no glass/cup in the bathroom, inadequate outlets for charging, but especially VERY lumpy pillows). But the staff was very responsive to fixing (most of) them. These problems shouldn't have existed, but because of the excellent staff, I'm reluctant to rate the hotel lower. I'm sure my experience was unusual, and under better circumstances, I would stay there again."
