"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."

"Clean & comforts, but there’s no table which even can’t have a simple breakfast. Have 2 sofa which are no use for us. It’s better to have a table & storage drawer."

"This was our 4th stay at Bowes Incline since 2012. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough to help you. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good with a varied selection. The restaurant meals are great too and very good value! Look forward to staying here again in the future!"

"The hotel is a delightful experience. It is in a quiet location overlooking Chester-le-Street, but within walking distance of the town and Riverside Park. The room was comfortable and clean. The decor is in keeping with the theme of the castle, and well maintained. Reception, bar and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. "Good room. Clean. Instant hot water. Large double bed. However overlooked main A road so very noisy so had to shut windows. Made room very hot and stuffy. No fan Also pillows ridiculously large and very hard"
