"Fantastic stay from start to finish. Great central location and super friendly staff. The room was beautifully decorated, fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day, restaurant food was amazing and the bar/beer garden were great. Despite it being a pub, it was great to be able to still come and go no matter the time which lent itself well to me as an early bird as it meant I could go for an early morning walk. Overall a great stay and I'll definitely be back. "

"I can’t praise this place enough! What a fantastic find, unbeatable value for money. The guest house is located just outside the old city walls and has lots of character. I stayed in the single room, which was tucked at the back, quiet, cosy, and spotlessly clean. The hosts were lovely to chat to, and the breakfast delicious and cooked to order. A perfect stay, I couldn’t have made a better choice for my trip to the beautiful city of York! "
