"We stayed at The Grand last weekend for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic, right next to the York wall and only a 5-minute walk into the town centre. The hotel staff were so welcoming, and the doormen in particular were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We parked in the NCP car park just around the corner, which was really convenient. Although the pool was closed for renovation (something we were aware of when booking), our stay was still perfect. "Overall the stay at 315 Bar and Restaurant was outstanding. The room was decorated to a high standard and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very quiet and had everything you will need. On site parking is free. Food menu is excellent and a very high standard. View around the hotel amazing. "

"I’ve stayed here many times. Rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after. The TV is very small though, so if you want to watch something, it could be a bit of a challenge. The hotel is in a safe countryside area. I like that there’s nothing else around, but others might prefer more nearby. Hot fresh breakfast is good, but the coffee isn’t great. I’d like to see more fruit and yoghurt options as I don’t eat a full breakfast. I’ll happily stay again. "

"There were lots of nice little touches - like coffee bags not instant, decaf options, bottled water every day and not just arrival day, quality toilet paper, soft towels…. Plus it was a very confortable room. "
