"The room was clean. The airport shuttle driver didn’t allow us on the shuttle to transfer us to the hotel. He nice arriving to the hotel via taxi, staff were agreeable to reimburse us for the taxi drive. Still waiting for that to happen."

"A little background. I’m 62 years old and have literally traveled the world. NC/OBX, we’ve stayed (vacation home/franchise properties/boutique properties ) from CAROVA all the way down to Hatteras. This by far was the most disgusting property I’ve ever paid hard earned money to stay. If there was any way possible to put zero for EVERY ONE of these categories, I WOULD DO SO. Not only the property, but some of the folks staying were, at the least, sketchy. One let their dog take a cr@p on the...

"I have been staying at this resort for over 20 years. It used to be a great place to stay for the money. Over the last 5 years it has been going down hill. The prices have skyrocketed even in the off season. The rooms need to be updated. They still have that old carpet in the rooms. The mattress on the bed is really hard and they have these 4 long pillows on the bed that are flat as a pancake. The couch in the room was updated but now the table they still have in the room is very low for the...

"Cleaning was very poor. The double rooms need more attention. The first room we were in had a sagging sofa, no water pressure, and hair in the bed. We were moved to another room in which someone had thrown up in one of the beds (on the mattress & pillows) and the bed was made up over the throw up. The smell was so bad we had to put the pillows outside & sprayed the room with Lysol. That bed wasn’t used needless to say. I couldn’t believe someone made that bed & left wet throw up pillows on the...

"This place is amazing"

"The most beautiful property ever for a fantastic hotel. The most quiet and peaceful room ever with a wonderful view."

"Great staff, great location!"

"This was a very nice place to stay at Pine Knoll Shores, with pooch. Off season, it's quite quiet. The room is comfortable (though no equipment in the kitchenette except for a Keurig, microwave, and ice bucket). Free coffee every morning and two free drinks tickets. As some have said, there's a surprise 15/night "resort fee" for equipment I never used (beach wagon and bike). Not a fan of surprise fees."

"The hotel was overpriced for the condition of the property."

"The location was great! The room was spacious and clean."
