"Nice clean rooms . Perfect location for the town centre and castle venue . We went to a concert. Downside . No climate control rooms were hot so windows open .. traffic and public noise. Nice balconies. No actual hotel facilities as it is an annex of the George hotel across the street. "

"Lovely old property, lots of character and charm. Staff are friendly and welcoming, some I feel are under pressure from senior management, It feels like they are short staffed. Which adds pressure to the rest. But they cope with a smile. Be nice to see more staff which would definitely increase the customer experience and enjoyment. "We stayed two nights for the 2025 Clacton airshow. The hotel has good (free for guests) parking and is about a 30 minute walk to Clacton pier. Alternatively buses run along the front. We stayed in room 20 which had a Sea view on the second floor (note there are no lifts). The room was clean and tidy with cofee and tea making facilities and a TV (no fridge), also free (good) WI-FI.
