"The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful, only disadvantage were the two flights of stairs up to our room which wasn't the hotel,s fault, but lovely views of the high street when we got up there !!!"

"We loved our stay at the Ancient Gatehouse. The room was lovely and looked out over the green in front of the Wells Cathedral. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel has an excellent Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner before walking around the lovely town of Wells. Americans should know it is not air conditioned, but air conditioning is rare in the UK and Europe. There is a fan and lovely large windows. We will definitely return."
"Chester is a fantastic city to visit especially with the children. Lots to see and do. We dod a family trail and learnt do much. The hotel was a great base, just across the road is a park and ride bus service that took you straight to the centre snd easy to pick up back to the hotel. Great to have the pool and restaurant service too the breakfast certainly filled us up for our days out. "

"We had a very long journey and were very tired Olin arrival, we were greeting by a lovely receptionist, it was quite late in the evening so we were thrilled to see the room service options, had a lovely meal, wonderful sleep on extremely comfortable beds, breakfast was delightful as were all the staff. "We had a meal on the first night which was very good. Guinness pie with mash and an Angus burger. Food was served hot and was very tasty 😋 The room was clean and tidy with a big bathroom. One small issue was a loose toilet seat but it was sorted as soon as I reported it to reception. Overall a good 2 night stay. A cooked breakfast would have made the stay even better but there was a continental breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, yoghurt etc."
"The inn brought me home to Wales and was a shelter from a storm within a warm community. Dai will go above and beyond to care for his own and strangers. My room at the inn will carry memories, as I am sure is the experience for many. I could have won a walk up a mountain - another time. Thank you and your staff Dai:-)"

The spa was not overcrowded and the Japanese themed garden was very peaceful.
Very clean and comfortable room.
We didn’t use the restaurant but the bar staff were very polite and friendly.
All in all, very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend. "
"We had a lovely short stay at The Feathers. The room was lovely, with an amazing bathtub and, best of all, AIR CONDITIONING, which we really appreciated as it was unusually hot during our visit.
The room was also very quiet at night - we heard hardly anything from the pub. I recommend the pub itself too, lovely decor and very friendly staff.
We would definitely stay there again, and absolutely recommend it to other travellers.
