"The property had an elegance about it that made it very charming. Everything has been kept up really well. The facilities in the room were excellent. The hotel is literally steps away from both the train and bus stations that made it ideal for our travel. The most outstanding thing about the Milner was its staff. They were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to help us."

"The staff were great and the food good. There was a lovely garden area we could have drinks in. There was no decent decaffeinated coffee for breakfast only nasty instant. Why? Our room was nice but there as no air conditioning and the windows were high up so we had to stand in a chair to open them. One didn’t open. It’s not healthy not to be able to have fresh air in a room. "

"Our trip didn’t quite go as planned, but the hotel staff were amazing. After our flight was cancelled, we had to cancel our original booking, but managed to get a later flight. Carol, the manager, came in on her day off to help sort things out so we wouldn’t be charged twice. The food was also great; my husband said his fish and chips were some of the biggest he’s had (and he’s had a lot!).
