"Overall a lovely stay. Staff were polite, helpful, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was welcoming and fely cosy. Reception, lobby, lounge, library, bar and restaurant were beautiful but the room we were in was a little tired decor wise. I do love the old features and understand it is an old building but some areas needed a little attention."

"A smart looking property situated in a quiet back street near Plymouth Hoe. Easily identifiable by the sign outside. Clean and tidy rooms with wonderful staff. I parked overnight in a nearby car park. Great place to stay."

"Fantastic stay overall, the location is perfect and the bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The staff were brilliant too; despite what some previous reviews have said, the restaurant team may be young, but they’re extremely welcoming, hardworking, and far from inexperienced. Just a small note for future guests: if you prefer a more filling breakfast, be prepared to pay an extra £10 for the full option, as the continental selection is quite limited. That said,...
