"Voco in Astoria is a great place to stay. It’s less than a year old and the rooms are soundproof. Across from me was the subway track and I could barely hear it. It was probably one of of best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel room. The restaurant serves dinner and breakfast. The food and atmosphere was amazing as well as the excellent Customer Service by the entire staff throughout the hotel. It’s a short walking distance to a subway entrance. I will definitely be returning there."

"Room was INCREDIBLY loud. I would not recommend staying here if you intend on having a good nights sleep. The elevators are a disaster. The room service is slow after 7pm. Front desk was less than enthusiastic to help. The Carlyle, The Surrey or even The Four Seasons midtown are better picks."

"At check in a young fellow was very polite and helpful. Room was clean as you walk in but the rug and the sofa in the suite was stinking bad. The smell was very unbearable. At check out there was a young lady not polite with glasses seem to be on a personal call. I told I was checking out she just lift out her arm insinuating to just leave the card there no good morning or anything just w a face on the phone. Disappointing."

Room is basically 2 beds with a desk and tv and very little room to move. The beds are very uncomfortable. The mattresses are old-school, with hard, poke-y metal coils that jab you in the ribs when you try to get comfortable, and your body sinks into the bed in all the wrong places. "If possible, get the 6 person room with the private bathroom. The pods were roomy and comfy, all controls were inside (lights, charging ports, sockets) and you could lock and unlock your pod from your phone. Was close to public transportation and a choice of restaurants all around. Central Park was a stones throw away. I will definitely be staying there again. Wasn't overly expensive, well worth the price paid."

"The staff was accommodating to hold our bags before and after check in and check out. They cleaned our room nicely after the first day. They provided various amenities including an extra set of bedding, toiletries, silverware, dining set, ice, and water with fruit. Overall, nice stay for two nights."
