"The room was exceptionally spacious and full of character. Many hotels are a bit soulless but this is far from the case here. The staff were professional, friendly and always with a smile. I've seen a few reviews have commented on 'hidden charges' - breakfast isn't included but this is clear from the very start and there's no pressure to eat here in the morning. If you do, however, the food is excellent (we had dinner) and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Fabulous property. Gorgeous decor. Loved the big sofas to relax in. Liked the art work on the walls. Great to have magazines to read with complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits/ cake.Very good breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Highly recommend."

"Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area."
