"Close proximity to the train station which was essential for our onward travel to Stansted . The staff were friendly , the rooms, although slightly dated , were spotless & the bed comfortable. The location was really pretty being on the River Stort . We made use of the onsite cafe / bar. then took an evening stroll along the river bank . It would have suited us to have breakfast in the cafe but it was closed the following morning for a deep clean , which just shows cleanliness of the place...

"The room was excellent value for money compared to anything else. It is tired, but very clean, in a great spot and the staff are lovely."

"Really nice rooms, nothing missing or broken or bodged up, like most on-the-cheap-end hotels. Food was amazing, both evening meal and breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. ~Would stay again"
