This hotel is closed we were rebooked at the Europa Gatwick hotel a sister hotel connected with the Britannia Hotel chain. On the out side it looked ok check in was fine and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The twin room i booked was pretty spartan, lacking in pillows, one per guest, the beds were absolutely atrocious one could feel the springs thru the mattress and the bed creaked something chronic, there was also a very strange nude picture of a women on the wall over the bed which i found distasteful considering it was a family hotel, no airport shuttle, 17 pounds for a five minute cab ride a bit pricey!! overall I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel

i booked this hotel 3 to 4 months before needed as we could get free cancellation if needed,with that we did not have to change the booking and even though we had a email of them 3 days before the booking to say will be seeing you soon, we turned up on the evening of our booking to find out it had become a Fugees hotel, that they had booked us into another hotel, that cost us as much in taxi fairs as the booking had, as it was in totally different direction, so not happy

Fine for night before flight

Practical for a stop over before early flight. Room was clean, comfy and all we needed for a short 1 night stop over. AC was not working, however they had provided a fan which was suffice. Convenient for Gatwick next morning. Check-in was ok, but not that welcoming. Average stay at a good price

Due to covid restrictions i couldnt take my holiday and couldnt actually get to the hotel as all flights from the IOM where i live to Gatwick had been cancelled. I am still waiting on a reply from yourselves as to whether i can move my booking to next year or have a refund . I was told by the hotel it was non refundable and to cancel they wanted £72 . Which ifind totally disgusting. Through a major pandemic this hotel trys to rip people off . I wobt wont book here again .

A bit Fawlty Towers

For a hotel so close to the airport the only way to get between the two places would appear to be an expensive bus service, you should be able to walk, but there is not path. There were some aspects that reminded me of Fawlty Towers, the first room key did not work, then they decided that they had given me the wrong room, then for a third time they changed the room - it was a simple booking for a twin, so no sure why that was so complicated. Generally the place felt a bit old an unlovered and could have done with a refresh. The room however was comfortable enough.

Bus from airport is easy to find and runs regularly. Room was clean and comfortable. I checked in around 1230 pm and had to be up at 0630 for my next flight. The walls are paper thin and my neighbour put their tv on at 0300 and i heard every word. Maybe a sign on Tv's asking people to be respectful of the volume would be helpful. I left a tired, grumpy person.
