"Pleasant stay at the Seaton Lane Inn with a little hiccup of no towels in the room on arrival but was remedied straightaway. Check in was quick and easy although steep stairs to the upper level of the Inn rooms. May be a little difficult for older people to negotiate these. Had food in the restraunt one night and enjoyed the steak which was cooked as asked and the service was also good from the waiter. Check out was also quick and easy so a very good stay at a good hotel."

"The hotel has a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are fine but some of the surfaces were quite dusty. There could have been more hangers in the wardrobe. Just small things and would definitely return."

"The staff were polite and the rooms were well kept clean. We booked 2 rooms for a family break and it was nice. Perfect location, and we overlooked the Stadium of Light; which was brilliant. Very close to city centre which is convenient for tourists. The car park could have been free but it didn’t bother us paying £5. Will definitely recommend and come back again."

"Check in and breakfast were good. The area is close to great pubs and restaurants and the metro. Unfortunately in the year since we last stayed here, the hotel looks a little rough inside. Carpet looks beat up. There are dings and scuffs all over the walls inside hotel rooms. We had a great time otherwise. "

"Beautiful place to stay, comfortable, clean quiet and lovely gardens, castle itself is stunning visually, but seemed a little tired in places, corridors and entrances understand lots of footfall but perhaps a fresh scrub and some paint touch up. We had high tea and Prosecco and decided to stay overnight, as it was my birthday.still a very lovely place to stay."

"Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too. The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling."

"We arrived to check into an accessible room. No help was offered to navigate a small set of steps to our room. No explanation of the amenities available or what time breakfast was served . The following morning our television didn't work breakfast was £16.95 for full english so we ate elsewhere. On our return after a lovely day out we were greeted with very loud music which all the guests had to endure as the events room doors were left open,so when we had to return to reception as our room key...

"First class as always, this is our fourth visit and we are already planning our next one. From a seamless check in with an amazingly warm welcome from Nicola and Cheryl who remembered us from previous visits. The room was excellent and the housekeeping team did a fabulous job throughout our stay, nothing is too much trouble.
