"Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"If you are lanning to stay more than one day, PLEASE TAKE YOUR SHOWER GEL. Room are not cleaned daily. Continental Breakfast was OK. Weather became colder in evening & at night, there is no heating. When I requested, she can ot start central heating as these are summer months. There is no portable heater. Be careful, befora you book this palce"

"Good atmosphere and history (Titanic connections). Restaurant yummy. Rate hotel down just a bit due to a towel warmer in bathroom which made entire bedroom warm, so had to crank down AC. Mattress not great. Woke up with stiff back. Also rate down when asking front desk about a shuttle bus which might take us to our cruise ship, was met with a response of “I have no idea; I’ve never been on a cruise.”"

"Budget but name, budget by nature. This is a no frills hotel, good if, let me required a night to break a journey. It is undergoing refurbishment with scaffolding wrapped around. Rooms are not well sound proofed, and breakfast was of a budget quality, albeit provided a continental selection. If you want items such a tea/coffee or a hairdryer in the room, look elsewhere. If you just need a bed for the night, this is fine."

"Room was lovely, pillows were awful. food was good. Using the lift was a bit of a nightmare. Managed to get the suitcases down, but could not get into a lift to take our 4 bags down. We are in our mid seventies and ended walking down eight flights of stairs. FInally, could not believe we paid £20. TOO PARK. Would have to think about coming again."

"Room is clean, staff is nice, the kitchen is clean. Therefore it was hard to check in when you first come, no sign, no number to contact because no office there. Should have a note to contact the landlord."

"The staff in all areas could not have been more helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Th air conditioning was very welcome in the middle of a heat wave. The bed was very comfortable. We would happily stay here again."

"The positives were the airy room and lovely garden. The big negative was the buffet breakfast which they proudly claim to be award-winning. The reality is that for a 4 star hotel, the quality and range of options was extremely poor. Too many short cuts and cost cutting. The veggie options were limitd and not displayed on the tables and there were no extras (eg crushed avocado) even if you were willing to pay a bit extra. There was no fruit yogurt in individual pots and no higher quality healthy...

"No one at the front desk. A sign that says” check in at 3pm”. No air-conditioning during the hottest summer in the UK, June 2026. No safe, no phone or refrigerator in the room. They have water kettle and provide coffee packets & sugar. No cleaning or servicing the room unless you ask for it. I asked for it, they did it one day and I had to go down again to tell them because they didn’t clean it the second day of our stay. Bathroom has one bottle of something to wash your body and hair.
