"Amazing hotel and amazing staff"

"We fully enjoyed our stay but disappointed that the main restaurant was closed on 16.06 due to a private function and unable to even have a drink outside which was inconvenient. Fortunately we walked into Portabello Road and had a wonderful meal."

"Lovely location. Room a bit dated and not always in a charming or characterful way - e.g. brown patterned carpet, likely from the 1980s. At check out I was asked for a 15 pound a night “tip” or service charges and to cover lobby and door staff! I felt awkward asking for it to be removed from the account, but really at 250+ a night I expect staff to be part of the deal. Is tipping at hotel really to become a normal thing in London?"

"Although our room was spartan in decoration, the staff were exceedingly friendly, kind, and accommodating. I would have liked a bit more storage space and two bottles of water rather than one. The rooms were made up quickly. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The bar had a tremendous selection and a knowledgeable bartender. Also, the food was very tasty. The concierge was a miracle worker. I recommend staying at this hotel."

"We loved our stay. Perfectly located close to the Paddington station made all our sightseeing goals so accessible. The hotel was charming and the staff we kind to us. Highly recommend."

"The reason for the poor rating was the failure to provide a comfortable nights stay. The room had no opening windows and the air con was not working. This was reported to staff on a couple of occasions and we were told it would be fixed by maintenance staff while we were out. When we returned the room was still so hot it was stifling (it was a hot day). When raising the issue again we were told it was basically our fault as we had checked in early! Eventually we were given a small fan which did...

"The staff is incredible. Clean and beautiful. Plenty of towels and complimentary shampoo and bath jell. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it for travelers"

"Rooms are on a first come first serve basis. If you check in after 3pm there is a chance you will get a room that isn’t like that pictures - when I request to get another room a man was not very helpful or pleasant to speak with but when I went back and spoke to a woman she resolved the issue very quickly and smoothly. No face towels, but the location was good."

"Although our room was very small, it worked for us for the 8 nights of our stay. We are grateful to the staff who immediately took care of the few requests we made ( wash cloths, ice, and extra towels). Since the room was so small we would have benefitted from having 1-2 hooks to hang towels and a soap dish in the shower. We also let them know the shower clogged after 1-2 minutes in the shower."
