"Vibrant hotel in a good location. Room was clean and quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The taps for hot water were fiddly to use and often quite frustrating- concept is better than the practicality- just keep a kettle for guests!! Breakfast is good though you do have to wait endlessly for coffee as someone else noted in the reviews. "

"They’re still using the heater as it’s on month of March. It’s a little warm at daytime so you just need to open the windows. The shops, restaurants and everything is just around you. Very convenient."

"This is a great spot, you can walk to places and there's some great restaurants right on the street, but it also isn't too busy that you hear the city all night long as you try to sleep. And the staff, they are fantastic. Very kind and accommodating. 10/10"

"Just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain, Hotel Barocco is a great place to stay if you’re looking for that downtown convenience. Close to many shops and restaurants, and never more than a half hour walk from Rome’s big ticket places, we never had to worry about a taxi or transport. The staff were highly attentive and very warm and welcoming. They always made sure we had everything we needed, even when we missed our breakfast time, they still offered us a table. Speaking of breakfast, not having to worry about going out to eat for breakfast and spending more money in an already expensive city, was such a great weight taken off our shoulders. The rooms were very clean and bright, with housekeeping coming by daily. It is an old building so it tended to be a bit on the warm side at night and we couldn’t quite figure out how to keep the A/C from blowing hot air in the middle of the night (probably user error as we never asked the front desk about it). If coming from the airport, I suggest your own transportation (uber or car service) as the taxi service the hotel provides runs on the more expensive side. This hotel was such a gem of our time in Rome and would be back in a heartbeat. "

"Overall, the hotel was in good shape however the outlets to charge phones and hair dryers, etc.. We’re not working very loose, even though we brought a converter. We also asked for our complementary Prosecco to be delivered, and it was never delivered or followed upon. I didn’t bother to ask them again. One morning we asked for a taxi cab and one of the staff members pointed outside to us to get our own, the taxi driver we selected ended up giving us counterfeit money as change. All other times staff had called a trusted cab service. A plus was the connected rooms and the complimentary breakfast. I would not stay here again, but over all it decent if you want to stay close to Trevi and local shops and restaurants. "
