"Xcaret was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We came to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday, and overall, it was such a memorable experience. The resort is HUGE with so much to see and do, and honestly, we weren’t able to experience everything. But what we did experience was breathtaking. The food was great, the amenities were amazing, and there is truly something for everyone.
There were a few things that unfortunately left a bad taste in my mouth.
Since this trip was specifically for my son’s 10th birthday, I asked about a birthday cake and/or decorations. I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant and was even willing to pay if it wasn’t complimentary. I mentioned that we were celebrating his birthday when we checked in, but nothing was offered or explained.
On his actual birthday, I called to ask again about a cake, and still nothing really came of it. The following day, I called again and asked if we could get a cake, and we were told to just order a dessert through room service. We were given two empty piñatas, which was basically the only birthday acknowledgment we received.
Thankfully, I packed a few little decorations for the room because I wanted him to feel special regardless. And honestly, I’m glad I did!
