"Great for short stays a home from home"

"The room had everything we needed, and we managed to get extra coffee when we required it. The staff were very helpful and made our visit run smoothly. For our stay, the air conditioning in the room was a bonus, as it was during a very hot spell. We didn't watch the TV, but it looked to have everything you might need on there. "Sadly this property needs huge investment. The whole place is really tired. There was no on there to welcome us and they hadn’t sent us the door code so I had to phone twice before someone would pick up and then had to wait for the owner to arrive to let us in, not ideal after a long journey. We had a garden room - which had thread bare carpets with stains on, the most uncomfortable bed imaginable and it just felt dirty. I thought from the pictures this place looked ok, but I was very wrong...

"Absolutely wonderful staff and the room was amazing!! The only issue (not their fault) they put me on the top floor and I struggle with stairs a lot as I’m disabled.. so, I booked a small single room but they have a huge room with a double and two singles great bathroom windows that open for air and the bed was great and the hot chocolate n biscuits. But I almost fell asleep my legs died underneath me and I was too shaky for what looked and slightly tasted like a fab breakfast. I was just...

"The exterior of the building is wonderful along with the grounds. The interior however is extremely run down and our first room We were given smelt damp and had to be moved to a better room but still then extremely basic and cleaning standard not great. Not helped also by the fact they only offer housekeeping every 3 days. Hotel with huge potential but not being looked after and requires urgent attention would not recommend anyone to stay there"

"We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend."

"Lovely cottage. Good location too. The only negative was the bugs that woke us up in the middle of the night. A bit scary because they are really big and crawls on your skin. Other than that, still okay."

"The hotel smelled of humidity. The TV in the room didn't work. I went to change the remote control 4 times. Finally, I asked them to test it in the room to see if it worked. They put the remote control down and left. I went upstairs and the TV still didn't work. Since I can't sleep without a TV, it was important to me. The hotel is definitely not worth the price they are asking. And they are especially asking for extra parking from the customers who have already stayed"
