"The setting is beautiful and the staff amazing. We took our 2 Spaniels with us and stayed in a dog friendly suite. Room was huge and surprisingly warm considering it was a converted Castle. Breakfast in the morning was decent and you are within 25 mins of York. All in all a great trip and we will 100% stay here again. "

"Room was lovely and comfy. Very clean wth en-suite, shower with amenities, towels body/shower gel, conditioner, hand cream and soap. Comfy double bed, the room had a coffee machine, kettle, fan and hairdryer. 32 inch TV suitable for room size. Complimentary breakfast more of a continental style but not fully. Teas, coffees, cereals, fruit, small selection of juices and toaster and microwave. Host was on hand to make hot drinks and toast, very hospitable and friendly. Guest are welcome to help...

"Our 2nd stay at The Jorvik. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean with an excellent shower. We chose not to have a breakfast tray as there are plenty of eating options nearby. The minibar was very well stocked. "
