"Tons of pools to lounge in for people of all ages, no issues finding a chair either. Beach is just steps from the pools and entertainment going all day long to keep everyone entertained! Staff are very polite and the rooms and facilities are all kept very clean"

I gave an average rating for the hotel just because it was under a lot of construction, but it was very beautiful and the staff I feel could’ve been nicer and smiled more. "Seating was decent. The hotel wouldn't shuttle me from the airport because I didn't book directly through them. Even though I'm a RIU club member, I had to arrange my own transport "

"This is the second time I have stayed here, it was great the first time. This time I found the wait staff a little rude, the chef at the grill really rude but the front desk staff excellent. We had a cabana room where the cabana had not been cleaned so we couldn’t use it. We went to the seafood resto and the gnocchi was inedible, They had a bingo game at the pool and I won but they had no prize!"

"Property is beautiful. Make sure you choose your spot at the pool or beach early. My biggest complaint about this place is that they allow people to "save" spots all over. I watched 1 couple place towels at the beach, pool & cabana one morning. Many chairs are only occupied by a towel for hours. Frustrating. The food was excellent. I do wish that the breakfast buffet menu would change daily. It got old after the first couple of days. We will likely return to this property. We have stayed...

And the catamaran trip with snorkeling and Margaritaville was so much fun! Office of Nature down the Beach was a fun spot. Best resort trip by far!!"

"I’ve stayed at a RIU in Montego Bay before, so I knew paying more usually means a nicer, more “luxury” experience. That wasn’t really the case here. Palace Tropical Bay didn’t feel like an upgrade, and honestly we could’ve just stayed at Riu Negril and been just as happy, if not happier.
