"Beautiful resort! But… it needs much improvement. If your (African American) this property will not cater to you at all. I had to call on many different occasions to clean the room or ask for towels. Some staff were semi aggressive from asking basic things. Having traveled to other countries, we’d expect vacation service, not al la carte service as everyone expected a tip for basic things. Don’t think I would take my family here again. It’s also very far from the airport. "

"the room was clean and the staff were nice but we were dealing with power issues the whole entire time i was there. also, we had a issue with telling the waiter that we had allergies an not once but TWICE did they not listen to what we said and one of my friend consumed the food that had her allergy in it. the staff was apologetic but luckily for my friend she allergy is not severe. "

"We did not appreciate the constant loud music outside our room during the day. Even going to tho edge of property did not give us any peaceful quiet afternoons on the beach. Guess this is just not our type of resort. Sorry"

"Staff freindly and accomadating"

"I’ve stayed at a RIU in Montego Bay before, so I knew paying more usually means a nicer, more “luxury” experience. That wasn’t really the case here. Palace Tropical Bay didn’t feel like an upgrade, and honestly we could’ve just stayed at Riu Negril and been just as happy, if not happier. When we went there for the White Party, it looked just as nice. The swim-up bar pool was also an issue—the filter seemed off because there was always debris floating around, which wasn’t great.
