"Excellent breakfast clean room clean hotel"

"Smelly. It's nothing like a 3 star hotel. I went for an interview next day and all my clothes were smelly and floor never cleaned and the shower overflow. Please don't book this even for free. Not worth it. Disgusting"

"This was my second stay at this hotel and did not disappoint despite the high bar the previous stay set. I was able to park near the hotel entrance and did not need to leave due to everything being within walking distance. The room was wonderful and the bed very comfy. I used the gym for a cardio and weights session prior to getting something to eat. All the staff were really friendly and there were a lot of continental breakfast items available prior to ordering something from the cooked menu. There were only 2 drawbacks for me - The portions for the cooked breakfast were quite meagre and the bacon was not cooked well plus the gym could really benefit from having a proper bench that allows you to sit while being upright. Other than that, I look forward to being here again in the future."

"It's my favourite hotel in Torquay. Rooms are spotlessly clean, the bar area is very nice and the complementary breakfast is really high-quality."

"A lovely hotel, some lovely staff but a couple seemed to not be having their best day on our arrival, nice spa, great location. Food was not brilliant, no teaspoon on the tray in the room, mirror not well cleaned and torn net curtains. Housekeeping did make up our room but it looked a bit like my 17 year old son had a go at it. This isn't a bad review as it's a hotel that could be a few very small changes from being perfect. Good central location yet quiet enough to have the windows open at nighttime. Two members of staff shone: Ade in the restaurant and Sam on reception, really friendly."
