"Jonny, the host was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Cannot be faulted. Room and en suite basic, but bed clean and comfortable. Plenty of storage drawers, small table and chairs a nice touch. Shower room small but clean, with good shower pressure. Although above a pub, the rooms are unexpectedly quiet. Budget-friendly - if you want all the “bells & whistles”, then you’d have to pay much more for a room. Well worth the money."

"The staff seemed overwhelmed as there were not enough to check in the volume of guests. The bathroom sink was blocked, slow to drain. There was no fridge. Great to find two bottles of water were supplied. Overall a great stay in an excellent location."

"Lovely hotel. Check in was excellent, very fast, friendly and efficient. Even had gluten free cookies on arrival. Room was immaculate, great bed, air con, shower, coffee machine and tea making facilities. In an excellent location for Temple Meads and harbourside. Absolutely A1 experience."

"Clean room. Apart from the conditioner not being topped-up in the bathroom, everything was in place. Staff were polite and friendly at reception and at breakfast. The breakfast meal was well laid out. Plentiful and good variety. Location was close to station and very convenient for the city centre. I would recommend."

"Perfect place to stay for Bristol trip. Stayed 2 nights and couldn’t fault it. The rooms were spotless, the bed was comfy, and the shower was hot with great pressure. Staff at reception were super friendly and gave us great local food tips. The location made it easy to walk the local retail park and train station in 12 min. Breakfast has everything you need to start the day. Special thanks to customer assistant for her support during checking in. Great value - will book again next time I visit...

"What a pleasant experience, that I was not expecting from a budget hotel chain. I wanted a stop over and found the hotel to be excellent value, clean, comfortable and just what I needed for a very affordable price. The room was adequate for my needs, basic but still very well structured with coffee/tea amenities, small shower area and a comfortable bed. "Excellent breakfast good choice and very friendly breakfast team. The team deserve a special mention. However on check in the room was not ready and we were kept waiting until another team member just moved us to a room that was ready (not sure why original member of staff didn’t do that) which would have avoided the unnecessary and frustrating wait after a long journey."

No air con so it was really hot in the rooms . It was a good location , no complaints there but I think the room fee was too much considering how much they need modernising ."

"Cosy, clean and quiet. Spent a lovely night at Brooks' with a small fountain gently bubbling outside my window, in a well-kept and extremely comfortable room. The bathroom was clean and tidy too. Super-central. I didn't have breakfast but it looked great when I walked through as I left. All the pictures give a good indication of the guesthouse, and the staff were really chilled and helpful.
