"We stayed 10 nights at Mahekal. It’s definitely different from our usual pick - the Royal Hidaway- but we wanted a change. It’s a 4 or 3.5 star resort that needs a bit of a TLC, but it didn’t bother us. The noise didn’t bother us either, very reasonable. Mosquitos are relentless, very grateful for the Off provided in each room. Staff are very friendly and polite. The welcome at the reception needs improvement.
