"We were visiting friends so only stayed 1 night. Room was clean and bed comfy. Breakfast was really nice. Full English beautifully cooked and perfect poached eggs! "

"No available breakfast facilities. Restaurant was full of lethargic American tourists who were supposed to have cleared so other guests could eat. Room aircon did not have ability to cool room. TV remote and interaction with the TV could be politely described as cumbersome. "

"The place was clean, tidy and quiet; the manager friendly and helpful. However, it is pretty basic. There's no thermostat in the room so I wasn't able to warm it up. The main issue was I was unable to have a hot shower on the morning. The manager offered for me to use the shared bathroom but in the second morning, the shower wouldn't get hot. So I think with a little improvement it could be worth the price. "

"The thermostat to the radiators didn’t work so we couldn’t turn the temperature down and were therefore uncomfortably hot and got limited sleep. The mattress added to the lack of sleep as it was very uncomfortable. The door to our room you could close from the inside with a hard shove but you couldn’t close from the outside so we couldn’t leave anything valuable in the room. We came up from London and arrived a couple of hours early, hoping to either check in early or at the very least that our bags could be held at reception, as you can in some hotels but not here. You can register your car for the car park, and the use of the bar & restaurant.
