"We stayed at Hotel Al Sotoportego for 3 nights. GREAT location. Lots of restaurants and shops around. The hotel was really easy to find. We took the water taxi from the airport and with Google Maps as our guide we walked to the hotel in about 10 minutes (not far at all). We arrived quite late in the day so the concierge left our room key in an envelope with my name on it and two complimentary bottles of water. Our room was great! Perfect for a 3 night stay. "Amazing stay in this hotel. Ideally placed so it's just a 10 minute slow stroll to St Marks Square and the Rialto. It sits behind another square that is home to cafes and restaurants. The service was exceptional. The owner offered us a free bottle of bubbly to be enjoyed on the rooftop of his neighbouring hotel. Breakfast was served outside on the patio. All I can say is, if staying in Venice you can't go wrong here. "
