"The staff were all super friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. Clean, beautiful pools and good beach access. The food was very good, but each restaurant has a fixed menu that doesn’t change. The buffet was excellent, so many fresh fruits and great options. Highly recommend the salmon at the Japanese restaurant!! This place was a wonderful experience, but this is NOT a quiet getaway. If you want peace and quiet, 6am - 8am is your best choice. Lots of lounge chairs with umbrellas, but people stake out their choices EARLY. Be prepared or just be happy to have 2nd or 3rd row seats at the beach or pool. The weather was perfect 80’s, 70’s at night - this was mid-April. The gym is small, but does the job. The Spa offers wonderful massages that range $200-$250, with other offerings. Overall we had a great time. We probably won’t return as we’d prefer a quieter vacation. But we also have no complaints and highly recommend RIU Cancun Los Americas."

"My entire family was extremely pleased with this resort and we can’t wait to come back. The property was beautiful the beach was amazing and second only to the service that was provided. The gym was clean and all the machines worked, the pool was clean and the buffet was tasty every time we visited. This was a great family resort and we made so many special memories. I highly recommend . "

"Nothing to do, nowhere to go, kids everywhere, everything broken, no bars to sit at you have to wait in big lines to get drink and then drink them while standing! Food was horrible could not eat at the buffet. Do not go worst resort I’ve ever been to!!!!!"

"Very clean, workers worked very hard. Beds uncomfortable and the elevators were not adequate. Food was great in the specialty restaurants, was disappointed there wasnt a Mexican restaurant as we were in Mexico. The buffet was fair, could find something you liked. Did not like the reps pushing for you to go off site to the Coco Bongo show. It was expensive and misrepresented- definitely for a younger crowd. The entertainment was fair, if you wanted to go to the infamous Riu parties, you had to take a.shuttlento another Riu. Overall, great vacation. Food, drinks, pools. Enjoyed our time. "
