"Hotel Metropol was perfect for our quick stay in Basel. It is located steps from the train station. The staff is helpful. When we arrived before check in to ask if we could store our luggage while sightseeing, they said our rooms were ready and allowed us to check in early. How nice! We were able to walk all over the city from our hotel. We enjoyed our one-night stay here. We were not able to have breakfast at the hotel as we had an early departure the next morning. We would recommend...

"Clean and comfortable and safe large room Interesting decor, older but not worn out Only small negative was having to climb one set of 8-10 stairs w luggage to get to the older part of the hotel. Had a lift once over there, and a nice courtyard. There during some autumn festivals so the Platz were wonderful. Good walking and excellent trams. Definitely would stay there again "

"Pleasant staff, clean room with good facilities including bath robes, slippers, nice shower and bath amenities. Free mini bar was appreciated. Comfortable pillows and bed linen. Great location near the main railway station and tram stop. Lovely breakfast area and selection of food. All in all an excellent stay and would definitely return. And free water and snack on checking out was a nice touch. Free travel card which also could be used on bus to the airport. Fantastic service. "
