"The hotel has incredible facilities, spacious rooms that are always very clean, and a spectacular pool and beach area that are beautifully maintained. All the restaurants were excellent, with great food and attentive service. The spa is beautiful, although the customer service there could be improved.
A few points worth mentioning are the lack of elevators for guests with disabilities, the absence of beer in the in-room minibar, and an unpleasant urine-like smell around the pool towards the end...

"Everything was perfect!! Super close to the Xcaret parks. The rooms are super big!! They give us close rooms, we are a family of 10. Delicious breakfast with different options every day. Personnel was super attentive and respectful. The only comment is the showers, I’m not sure if it is the design but every time my kids shower we had a puddle in the floor."

"Beautiful resort, but serious hygiene concerns
We stayed at Viva Azteca for two weeks and had a mixed experience. The resort is beautiful, the beach and location are fantastic, and most staff were very friendly.
Unfortunately, we had serious concerns about hygiene. After returning to our room one day, we found a brown, foamy and unpleasant-smelling substance on one of our electric toothbrushes. We reported it immediately, but only after repeatedly following up were we told that nobody knew...
