"A pleasant one night stay in Bristol to see the hot air balloon fiesta. Used Tesco club card partner through hotels.com so that softened the price. I wouldn’t have paid £170 to stay for a night, but ballon fiesta is a busy time so guess it’s supply and demand. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful building with lots of character. Comfortable bedroom. Good hearty breakfast in the morning. Off street parking from check in til 11am for £9 was very good value. Could extend...

"We had a lovely meal in the Victoria restaurant and were well looked after by Ishmael. Only downside was that the room was noisy at night with people drinking outside at the restaurant opposite until gone 1.00 am. "

"Room was beautifully styled, bed and bedding very comforting. Staff were lovely and the free biscuits at reception and in the room were a lovely bonus! One minor issue: sound carried quite loudly from the corridor to my room (though luckily the hotel was quiet so only happened briefly/ a couple of times)"

"The hotel was right in the centre of town and our room overlooked the Market Square and the church. Extremely comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Short stay parking was very close but it was a five minute walk to long stay parking. Building works going on on the front of the hotel at the time but that did not disturb us in any way"
