"The buffet breakfast offered is $20 a person- you’re better off walking to a cafe in the mornings. The “City view” room was not worth the price. Area was close to a handful of restaurants and a 35 min walk to Balboa Park. If you’re scared of homeless people on the streets don’t book this hotel. Rooms do not have microwaves and we had issues with our sink and toilet not flushing/draining properly. They fixed the sink but our toilet only fully flushed every other flush…weird and frustrating. I recommend renting a car, Ubers were pricey. There’s a small bar in the lobby which was great for a night cap drink. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my friends for what we paid. 7/10"

"Only stayed one night but they upgraded us to a suite which was luxurious. Location was perfect for all the sightseeing venues. I would stay there again without question. They even gave me a bag scale to weigh my bags before I headed off to the SFO international airport which is about 20-30mins away- just under $40 US for an uber."

"Could not get key card to rooms because machines were down. Tried to check in at 3:30 pm before going to dodger stadium and could not check into room or get bags to room or even freshen up before going out. I did not return till 12:30 am. I told the check in desk when they asked how my trip was. Paid over 200 for night to just sleep and shower in the morning."

"The resort is lovely and has a very tropical lush feel we were stay vacationing 30 minutes from home and it really felt like we’d flown to Hawaii or somewhere in the South Pacific. The accommodation was great for a family of four, with a nice bungalow, large bedroom space and cute bathroom and we had a view out onto the bay. During our stay one of the restaurants was closed, and so we ended up having the same menu on both nights. The hotel did tell us ahead of time about the restaurant being closed for maintenance. The main pool was decent with waiter service and reasonable availability of beds, although it was busy because it was during kids school break spring break. One criticism would be the gym, my husband felt all the equipment was tired old or broken but that wasn’t a big deal because we only went to the gym once. Over we would rate it a 9 out of 10!!"
