"We had a delightful stay at Cawdor House, thanks in large part to the fabulous couple who own and run it. Their warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room we stayed in was small but pleasant and well-kept. As you’d expect in an older house, the walls are a bit thin, but that’s part of the charm and character of a traditional building like this. "Wonderful house within walking distance of the city. Very comfortable bed and good shower. Lots of counter space in the bathroom which is handy. The breakfast was delicious with a cold buffet and a la carte hot breakfast items to order. The owner was so generous and did a load of laundry for us even though it was the day we were leaving. We hadn’t realized that laundry was an option, so it kept us from having to find a laundromat in the city."
