"I stayed at the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch with my dog. The golf course and surrounding area are absolutely stunning — clearly a lot of care goes into keeping them in top condition. The hotel itself has charm and a lovely old-world feel, but unfortunately the guest experience didn’t match the setting. Service in the restaurant was underwhelming, and the room wasn’t as clean as it should have been, with a stained carpet. It almost felt like they look after the course better than the guests. With...
