"Muy buena atención y una limpieza excelente "

"I enjoyed my stay at the Occidental Costa Cancun despite a few problems which the staff attemped to address. Initially, I was allocated a room oppisite the pool and large speakers and I knew on arrival that this would not suit me as I prefer a quiet room away from loud music. With a little discussion, I was allocated another seaview room by a very nice suoervisor in a quiet part of the hotel. The location was perfect, the seaview was lovely but as I enteted the room, I noticed a smell of drains! particularly at the entrance. Staff sent someone to sort the problem out. They checked the shower drain, but the smell persisted up to my last day, today. I was a bit disappointed as this trip was a special treat to myself for a special birthday and I wanted everything to be perfect. Unfortunately it was not. Please sort out this problem in rolm 558 for the benefit of other guests and the hotels reputation. There were some good points however, the staff were always very helpful and polite , and the food was generally very tasty, with a good variety and the drinks are of good quality. The beach is small but sufficient, and there was generally a nice atmosphere in the hotel. There were also a range of activities on each day, snd evening shows which were ok."

"We came here for a family trip with small kids and this place was just awesome for that. Everything is close, and easy to move back and forth as required. The rooms are a definite plus as they are very spacious with room to spread out. It would also work really well as a non inclusive with the well stocked kitchens. The beach is decent, with sandy area to swim between the seas grass, and very calm water. Food was good, and the Italian restaurant was really good, and we had a few good meals including birthday meals. La Palappa location was awesome as we essentially sat right on the beach, and the kids could run off and play while the adults finished their meal. The place is extremely well maintained, and they were painting what I would consider pretty clean walls. The staff from the cleaners, servers and even the painters would always greet as you passed and it felt very homey."

"Excellent service and friendly staff. They keep the facilities really clean. There is also good care ant the restaurants on getting you what you need, specially with allergies. There is a great kids waterpark for families. And the food is all excellent. My only main complaint is the there aren’t a lot of bathrooms on the property. Especially if you’re on the beach…. "

"This resort is beautiful. It’s a nice small property and was convenient to navigate with my family. Unfortunately, 1. The service was terrible. We had the “level” premium package and service, amenities, and attentiveness was more than lacking. I felt like I was burdening any staff I interacted with whether it was asking for a drink at the bar or requesting toilet paper in the public bathroom. 2. The food was mediocre and when I almost choked on a large piece of cellophane in the pulled pork at breakfast, no one was phased. 3. I had jewelry (which was other non valuable items stolen from our room, spent our entire last night and last morning assisting security with an “investigation” and then was ghosted by them as soon as I left the resort. They hung up on me when I called, multiple times. 4. The kids club and activities were VERY subpar. It was all very poorly organized and mismanaged. Fortunately, most kids dont know any different. 5. In general, the resort looks great on the surface but greatly missed the mark on details. No limes or olives at the bar. The ceiling of our room collapsed more than once, creating a huge mess on all of our stuff— they acted like this was no big deal, covered it with drywall mud and moved along. Dinner reservations were impossible to get, even with “level priority access.” People without level access waited for an hour each morning in the lobby to secure a reservation for the evening. Skip this resort! "
