"We were a group of three families who took four royal rooms for six nights. Food and beach view from the restaurant awesome. Some of the waiters at Royal were not friendly to us since we had small children and they kept on spilling water on the table. We didn’t feel welcomed always. Royal front desk was friendly but untrained. I got locked out of my room almost everyday . They were not able to fix our bracelets to work properly. Xcarat unlimited was awesome which is why we chose this place ....

"We were there for 5 days. Since our arrival their yard stole my heart. It is beautiful, like an oasis, quiet and a good place to relax since they have 2 pools on the property. The room was a bit odd to me since the bathroom didn't have a door so it was like an open space, but overall i liked it and i was very impressed by the cleanliness of it and also the towel folding that the housekeeping does. The hotel is very close to 5th ave where you can find a lot of places to eat and also to the beach,...

"Gorgeous grounds with endless pools so it never felt too crowded. I absolutely loved all the wildlife, and the beach was beautiful - they are constantly cleaning the washed up sargassum. Most staff were amazing. We had a couple issues with the room and platinum amenities, and the food was just ok. Despite this, overall, it was a great experience."

"It’s a quaint property and handy to many amenities. The bed is very hard, if you like a firm mattress. If I was to offer a suggestion for improvement, I would recommend having coffee available at the location. Although there’s a communal coffee maker, it’s just for hot water and it’s just not convenient. But I really loved the location, and I loved the resident cat 😁"

"Beautiful resort but the food isn’t good. The buffet food just isn’t what you’d expect from a 5 star resort. We went to La Brasserie dining restaurant which was superb but La Fuente restaurant was poor. I ordered the traditional paella and it was just yellow rice topped with shrimp. And the shrimp had no taste. "

"This was our 4th time staying here. Every time the staff have been excellent. We especially want to mention 2 staff, Kimberly and Daniel. They both go above and beyond for their guests! This time we did notice more trash around the property, updates needed, especially pool tables, and other game tables. "
