"Pool hair reservations were hard to get. You have to be up and at the pool before 6am to reserve a good spot for chairs. Spring break was busier than anticipated. It made the hotel feel congested. Reserving di ner reservations on the app was very difficult. We only got a few decent times, and the teppanyaki we never had a chance. It was booked the second the reservations opened. "Great location, attentive staff, amazing pools and beach, BUT everytime you walk anywhere on site, someone tries to sell you something. Its gets old real quick. I know they are just doing their job, but no I dont want a time-share (or whatever they call them now), no I dont want to pay for my photo, no I dont want to get an excursion, no I dont need to pay for a seat by the pool. I understand if this was happening on a public beach, or sidewalk. But this was at the bottom of the escalators...

"The pool area is great. Air-conditioning worked great. The employee very helpful and friendly. The grounds inside the fencing beautiful. The view of the ocean and the jungle breath taking. "

"It’s the second time we stay at this location and its renovation definitely made it prettier and better. They definitely have some of the friendliest staff we’ve encountered at any of our travels: special mention to Pascual at the morning buffet and Abishair at the pool area. Everything is close by, yet very private at the same time, and there’s always enough space to wind down or have a rowdy time for everyone. Can’t wait to go back to this location."

"From the moment we booked to the time we checked out, the Mamma Loo staff was in constant communication with us. They let me know about prices outside the stay rates beforehand, they helped me arrange a welcome bouquet for my girlfriend, arranged for us to have a grill dinner and took breakfast all the way to our kuchil ( that’s how you say space/home in mayan). Bathroom was clean, dinning area was tidy and the room was nice and comfortable. My girlfriend loved this, she said “ we should do this...

"The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily."

"If you’re thinking about booking Secrets Riviera Cancun don’t. This place is a complete disappointment and nowhere near the luxury it claims to be. We went for a 40th birthday during spring break and it felt like a total waste of money. The swim up suites are small underwhelming and absolutely not worth the price.
